Sky has announced a new long term licensing agreement for Sky Atlantic to be the exclusive home of SHOWTIME’s growing portfolio of programming across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy.


Beginning this year Sky’s 21 million customers will have exclusive access on Sky Atlantic to all future SHOWTIME series.


This includes upcoming new series Billions, starring award winning actors Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis in a bold drama set in the ego-driven world of New York high finance.

Sky Go customers can already stream content on their smart phones, tablets and laptops but there is now the option to catch live content and boxsets on Xbox One consoles.


Sky is adding a selection of channels and catch up content from Sky Go to the Xbox, making it easier than ever before for viewers.


Sky TV’s Brand Director Luke Bradley-Jones commented, “We’re really excited to add Xbox One to our line-up of supported devices. Xbox One customers can now watch the latest from Sky TV with our big winter line up including The Last Panthers, Fungus The Bogeyman and Scandal – there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”The service will be available to customers who have Sky Go Extra or Sky Multiscreen and is available by downloading the app from the Xbox Store.

According to ComScore (2015), Sky Sports became the number one digital destination for sport in 2015. New records were set for the award-winning digital and on-demand services from Sky Sports while viewers enjoyed more sport than ever before with over 60,000 hours watched across seven channels in 2015.


Highlights from this record-breaking year saw a number of memorable moments including England's 3-2 Ashes victory, Lewis Hamilton's third Formula 1 World Championship title, Chelsea's Barclays Premier League and Capital One Cup double and a huge year of boxing including Tyson Fury v Wladimir Klitschko and Floyd Mayweather v Manny Pacquiao.
